Basic Training in the use of the Kayzero for Windows Software.
Venue: Same location as the 5th International k0-Users Workshop in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Date: 11-12 September 2009 (the weekend before the workshop).
Costs: 750 Euro, Including Documentation, lunch and 6 months of free use of the latest version of Kayzero for Windows.
Registration: Minimum number of participants is 6.
Please bring your own laptop. Data and software will be provided.
A good knowledge of the k0-method is a pre-requisite for maximum understanding. The focus is on the use of the software, the method itself will not be discussed.
If you are interested please pre-register. The final decision whether the training will be given, will be made on the 1st of May 2009.
Program
Saturday morning (8:30-12:00):
-- Entering Detector Calibration Data (entering detector dimensions and data, curve fitting, fine tuning and calculation of reference solid-angles).
-- Determination of reactor calibration parameters (Au-Zr- method, multi-monitor method: bare and cadmium covered).
Saturday Afternoon (13:00-16:30):
-- Explanation of the concept of the working procedure that is used in the software (Sample Identification, Spectrum Identification, Data Handling...).
-- Entering the data of your measurements.
-- Calculation of Concentrations and evaluation of the results.
Sunday Morning (8:30-12:00):
-- An overview of all features and options in the software.
-- Efficient data evaluation, get the best results without spending to much time.
-- Reporting element concentrations.
